Getting right back into the swing of things, we shot our 2nd wedding of 2009 yesterday with Kristen & Rob, who were an absolute blast to work with (I knew they would be a lot of fun when I saw what they were like on the engagement session we shot last summer). Earlier this week, I sprained my ankle pretty badly and was really worried about whether or not I could get through the day limping around on it… I decided to go for it and am really glad I did (although the ball of my ankle was as big as a baseball when I took my shoe off last night) – luckily I had my two rockstar 2nd shooters with me, Jamaica & Jessica. What started out as a really cold day in the 20′s quickly warmed up to 40 (NY heatwave this time of year) and we actually had some nice weather to shoot with for the most part. Kristen & Rob as well as their entire bridal party and family were such a treat to work with and were super cool when it came to braving some evening cool temperatures (thanks guys!)
After a beautiful ceremony at a church in Mechanicville, we headed to the infamous Hall of Springs for an incredible reception and celebration. The Hall of Springs (one of the Glen Sanders Mansion sites) is such a great place to work and aside from how beautiful it is for a reception, they always have such top notch food and service… it’s highly recommended for those of you still looking for a great reception hall! I also want to give some quick props to Vinny Commisso of Elite Entertainment for doing a fantastic job as a DJ last night…. I don’t think he had any less than 50 people on the dance floor at all times!
We don’t start to dive heavily into the 2009 wedding season until April this year, so I’m posting a few extra photos to keep you occupied until our next wedding. We are working heavily on album designs from 2008, a few corporate projects, not to mention I need time to heal my ankle! Congrats & thanks again to Kristen & Rob and we wish you all the best in your new marriage together! Love this shot!

This where my new 200 f/2.0 with IS really comes in handy… shot this from about a mile away hand held no flash!

One of my favorite shots Jamaica got

One of my personal favorites from the entire wedding!

Another killer shot my assistant Jess got from the balcony…. money!

Bam… we did it!

Just the boys… there’s about a million beers hiding behind their legs – lol

Love the lighting in this one

I thought these were the table decorations until they started drinking out of them – wow!

Another one of Jessica’s shots I really liked…
