Engagements w/ Lauren & Aron

One of the hot new couples getting married this year, is Lauren & Aron, who are getting married at the beautiful Hall of Springs in Saratoga over the 4th of July weekend.  These guys were so much fun to work with and easy going (just the way I like em), and Jamaica and I had fun hanging out with them a bit this Saturday to shoot some photos to celebrate their engagement together – I can tell already, I’m going to really enjoy shooting this wedding!

Since the couple is from Brooklyn, we tried to shoot with a slightly more urban feel to the photos (not my normal style, but really loved something a bit different than the norm)… Schenectady is certainly not Brooklyn, but we had fun checking out some different places… it’s fun to try and incorporate some of the different textures and architecture while shooting.  I wanted to post a few samples from our session together below!  Thanks to Lauren & Aron for making the trip up and being so cool to work with! :)

P.S. This is our last “wedding free” weekend for a long long time, starting with an amazing wedding this coming week on the Finger Lakes (and one or two every weekend following that for several months)…. be sure to check back often as there will be lots of blog posts coming!

Headshots w/ Rachel – Albany Business Headshots

First and foremost, I want to apologize to all the blog readers for being so boring lately and not posting much.  Truth is, it’s been a busy couple of weeks – I have a wedding a couple portrait sessions I need to post still…. I promise to catch up soon!  I thought I would break the silence by posting a quick sample shot of Rachel, who came into the studio today to shoot some headshots… here’s one I really liked and thought I would share!

Engagments w/ Carla & Tom

It’s amazing how sometimes in life your past experiences or friendships can sometimes circle back around to the present or future.  About 7 or 8 years ago, one of my good friends, Tom, and I used to manage a store together down in the Middletown/Newburgh area.  As our careers seemed to eventually go different directions and I moved back to the Capital Region, it soon became years since I had last seen or heard from him.

It was exciting to get a call from Tom about a year ago (after about 5 or 6 years), letting me know that not only was he moving up to the Capital Region, but also getting married.  It’s great to know that he has found such an incredible person with his fiance, Carla, and am very excited to be shooting their wedding next month.  It’s definitely one of those if only I knew then what I know now type of things…. we could have never guessed in a million years that would be the case – lol.  Anyway, I had the pleasure of hanging out with Tom & Carla this past weekend and shooting a few photos of the two of them.  Tom is without a doubt one of the funniest people I have ever met in my life and I really look forward to this wedding… here are a few samples from our shoot…

Congratulations, Kristen & Nova!

I’m severely behind on blog entries this week, but am doing my best to catch up here quick!  Wedding season has officially begun which is pretty exciting.  We shot our 3rd wedding of the season this past weekend with Kristen & Nova!  For a day that was supposed to have rain all day, we lucked out and stayed dry which was nice (I seem to be lucky like that for some reason).  We are still going through images as we have multiple projects going on this week, but wanted to post a few quick samples from their day in the meantime.  Kristen & Nova are currently on a 2-3 week trip all throughout Europe and surely having an amazing time together.  Enjoy the honeymoon guys, and congrats on your new marriage together!

Engagements w/ John & Diane

I’m still trying to figure out this new Mac thing, so I’m a bit slower on stuff than normal until I get the hang of it more, but wanted to post some quick shots from my fun engagement session with Diane & John from Easter Sunday!  This lucky couple is getting married later this year (and have not yet selected a photographer), but I had the opportunity to spend some time with them on Easter to shoot a few photos to celebrate their love and engagement.  Diane & John were so easy and fun to work with and we immediately clicked, which was awesome!  I don’t normally work holidays, but we had a great day to shoot and I was amazed how nice it was to shoot when the park was nearly empty (I’m not making a habit of this though ;)  Thanks for a fun session guys, here’s a few samples from the day!
