Ok folks, looks like I’m getting caught up on the blog entries – whew! After spending a fun day with Amy & Lee, we boogied the next morning out to Delhi, NY…. which I’ll be honest, is basically in the middle of nowhere! I’ve said this before several times, but I absolutely love when I get the opportunity to get out my usual stomping grounds to shoot something fresh and a bit different from the norm – this was definitely one of those weddings! One of the conerns some new couples have when hiring a photographer is whether or not they are familiar with the location or have shot there before…. I personally love the challenge of being forced to think on the fly and be creative, rather have the same ol’ boring shot list :)
I met/talked with Raegan for the first time several months ago and without going into detail, she has been through a lot in her life and her previous photographer she had booked did not come through apparently – I was happy to try and help her out a bit, and after seeing some of these images captured from the day, I’m so glad I did! Raegan is without a doubt a girl that knows what she wants (which she demonstrated on the wedding day – lol)….. her and Travis were awesome to hang out with and shoot. This was a tought wedding since I was extremely fatigued and it was pretty hot and humid, but without a doubt one of the best weddings of the year I think in terms of images. I want to point out a quick note to those reading this, that it pays to give a healthy amount of time for portraits after the ceremony and you’ll notice the vast amount of images we were able to get having this time (just a friendly FYI).
For those interested, you can click the link below to pre-register your email and receive notification of when images go live (usually about 30 days or so) for online viewing & ordering. A huge congratulations to Raegan & Travis for having us – all the best in your new marriage! I leave you with a few (ok, several) images from the day! I’m officially exhausted and signing out for a couple days, but don’t go far – we have two more weddings coming up this weekend that I look forward to sharing with you!

my new whip that I’m getting dirty on these dirt roads

about now I’m asking myself, “seriously, where the hell am I?”

the amazing magical, floating dress!

love love love the short vails – so much easier to manage I would think?

Raegan is no joke when she’s all done up and ready to go!

the scene of the crime… I can’t even explain where I was here – I can tell you to make sure you have 4-wheel drive though

the barrels were painted to match the dresses? lol

Bam! – favorite image of the year so far… you can bet I’ll be trying to get this into a magazine soon!

love this one too!
