Mia Infant Portraits / Capital Region Maternity & Baby Portraits

I’m behind on my blog entries and doing my best to get caught up quickly here…. I wanted to post a few shots from the Mia shoot we did with good friends, Nata & Angelo, who had their baby girl just a few weeks ago.  Some of you may remember them from the maternity shoot we did just a few weeks before Mia was born.  As a new father of twins, these shots have so much meaning to a parent and it will be great to look back at them as Mia continues to grow.  Here are a few samples….

Maternity Photos / Capital Region / Albany, NY

I don’t shoot a tremendous amount of maternity or infant photos to be honest, but being a new father is somewhat having me rethink some of the types of work and projects I want to further pursue moving forward.  I had the opportunity to hang out with good friends, Fortunata (Nata) and Angelo last night to shoot some quick maternity photos before the baby comes.  Recently going through the experience of becoming a new father myself, I’m quickly realizing how important the documentation of maternity and newborn photos & videos can be first hand.  Nata & Angelo are keeping it a secret as far as what they are having, but you can bet we’ll have some follow up images of their new addition very soon, so you’ll have to check back to see the results (my guess is it’s a girl :)  Here are a few samples from our session together last night that I wanted to share…..  Thanks for a fun shoot guys, always great to see you!

Gabby’s Sweet 16 – Mallozzi’s

With wedding season about 1 week away for us before it really takes off (lots of blog entries coming, trust me!), Jamaica & I got into gear by shooting a sweet 16 party for Gabby!  I had the opportunity to hang out and shoot with Gabby a couple months prior for some birthday promo shots, which you can check out here.  Turning 16 is definitely a special time in someone’s life as you finding out who you are in this world, doors begin to open, and childhood begins to transition into adulthood (wow, that was deep) …. Gabby, enjoy these years before you wake up and you are in the thirties! :)

I have a few plugs I need to give to some of the fantastic professionals that helped put this event together and are always so awesome to work with.  I’ll start by mentioning Christine Wheat, who did an amazing job of planning the entire event and running the show to ensure all went smooth!  Next, I need to mention what a great job Make Me Fabulous did in making Gabby look like a rockstar for her birthday – I’m sure her friends were blown away at how incredible she looked!  Party decorations and flowers were done by the amazing floral artist herself, Kris Ann of Fleurtatious Designs, and the party would not have been the party it was without Nick rockin’ the mic from Cool Cat DJ!  An all around “dream team” of professionals helping to make this a very special day for Gabby, and think it was awesome…. a girl could only be so lucky to have such a killer party (I should have had one of these in high school, I would have been popular the rest of the way through High School, haha!)

We are still going through images from the day and look forward to putting together a killer album for Gabby to share this wonderful memory with someday.  I wanted to quickly share a few samples from the day!

P.S. Photos will be made available online for viewing & ordering for those interested, and you can pre-register your email at the link below to receive automatic notification of when images go live:

New Maternity Session (Capital Region Maternity Photos)

Hello, everyone!  I want to again, apologize for my lack of blog entries lately as I have been very busy shooting, designing 2008 wedding albums, and prepping for the upcoming 2009 season in general.  Soon enough, wedding season will be in full swing, and I will have loads and loads of blog entries and images for you all to check out – in the meantime, I know I have been pretty boring and apologize!

A few days ago, I had the opportunity to shoot an amazing maternity session with a bit of a local celebrity here, in the Capital Region.  (So that I can attempt to give her a bit of privacy, I’m not going to mention any names in this blog post).  I’ll admit, I don’t shoot a million of these a year, however had a blast capturing some great images in the studio together.  These are meant to be a gift for her husband for their upcoming anniversary, which I’m sure he will love – more importantly, I think maternity images will someday be so important to the child (or in this case twins, which are due in about 5 or 6 weeks).  It means a lot to me as an artist to be able to capture such special moments in a person or family’s life and look forward to hopefully photographing the babies once they are born (you’ll have to stay tuned for an update).

I can’t even begin to tell you how many amazing images we captured from this session, however even though I’m going nuts wanting to show you some of the other awesome stuff, I’m going to hold off on posting anything further to respect privacy, unless I got permission to do so – I’ll update this later if that ends up being the case. Here are a few of my favorites from the day!

Holiday Portraits with Corina & Family!

Tonight, our good friends, Dave, Del and baby Corina came over to hang out and shoot a few holiday portraits to celebrate Corina’s first Holiday Season!  Capturing the personality of someone not even a year old yet is never an easy task, but after making several weird sounds and with the help a green clamp that apparently is the most fascinating thing on earth, we were able to get a few really cute shots!  I have a feeling we’ll be documenting much of Corina’s life and younger years, so remember this one!  I sure hope she can kick some of her bad habbits before she becomes a teenager – sheesh!

Corina always likes to take the edge off before going into one her of model shoots – it helps her to relax and just be herself?  By the way, Dave is up for father of the year, and would really appreciate your votes – LOL!
