Crystal Clear Finances / Albany NY Financial Planning

This week I did a shoot with my new friends at Crystal Clear Finances in Albany to work on some images for their website – these guys were so much fun to hang out with, I almost went back the next day without a camera just to hang out again :)  On a serious note, this is an awesome  place to check out for those of you looking for help with financial planning, investments, Portfolio Analysis, Insurance and if nothing else, for a good sense of humor.  If you’re lucky enough, maybe Crystal will let you check out her new iPad?

New Website Up and Running!

After about 6 months of work, I’m really proud to announce the launch of our new website, which officially went live this week.  With the help of some great web designers, we’ve put a lot of effort into creating a fresh new site with lots of great new features that I’m really excited about.  Some of the upgrades the new site has vs. the old site are:

-a fancy flash intro (which you can choose to skip if you like)
-easier navigation through menus and pages to browse and find the information you want
-larger image galleries and the slideshow options to browse through images easier with
-an interactive calendar with automatic links to sunset times, online viewing & ordering sites, blog entries & even status updates for your event-added product & album pages with information & photos to help educate of various styles and options
-a new gift and registry page that allows couples to easily add us to their bridal registry for various options
-easy access to make payments online, find online viewing & ordering events, facebook, etc

I hope you’ll enjoy the new site… I want to give some props to Stephen of www.equali.com for doing an amazing job as well as www.overit.com for their fancy intro presentation.  Ok, enough telling you how cool it is, click here to check it out for yourself! :)

The Scott Varley Group – Saratoga Springs & Albany Realtor Headshots

Last week I had the opportunity to hang out with Scott Varley Group, which is a big name Realty Firm located in Saratoga Springs.  Scott and the crew were a lot of fun to hang out with and were getting some updated shots for their website and marketing materials.  I really think businesses having updated images that sell their staff and personalities are ahead of the game – this is something we are getting more and more into that I really enjoy.  Here is another one we recently did for Glenville Dental and we have a couple more similar shoots lined up over the next month or so.  Anyway, if you need a realty company to work with, here is their website (images updates soon hopefully :)

It wasn’t my idea – don’t ask :)

Sticky Fingers Apples – Amazing Candy Apples and Wedding Goodies!

What started as a simple school project for their kids 3 years ago for my good friends, John & Donna, has now turned into a national craving almost overnight it seems.  Sticky Fingers Apples, which is a local company using local apples from orchards in the Capital Region has become one of the biggest names in the candy apple industry and it’s very exciting to see their business take off with such success.  Not only are they great people, but have an amazing assortment of candy apples & other goodies and ship daily around the country as the orders continue to pour in left and right.  Donna has some new apples including a cool Valentine’s apple so I had some fun shooting some of the new inventory today for their website.  I should also mention that they are now doing wedding apples for those wanting something a little different or to spice up their wedding with extra treats.  Be sure to check out their website at www.stickyfingersapples.com – you won’t be disappointed!  (Seriously, how good do all these look and they have tons more available on the website).

Frank DiMeo - Matt your work is always fabulous but these are off the wall! Good food photography is supposed to make the viewer want to eat the food. These must be excellent because my mouth hasn’t stopped watering and I can’t think of anything else since I saw them. Please let John and Donna know that I have to try them because you made them look so good. Hey wait, it is Valentines Day soon (0;February 10, 2010 – 5:07 pm

Congratulations Jen & Paul!! – Canfield Casino Wedding (Several Photos!)

Without a doubt, Jen & Paul’s wedding was one of the biggest weddings our team has ever taken on, and a wedding that I’m extremely proud to share.  10 hours of non-stop shooting, 3 photographers, and a total of close to 7,000 images shot…. exhausting, but an absolutely amazing day for everyone involved, especially Paul and Jen! :)

I could seriously post the entire wedding on the blog, so you’ll have to forgive me, but I’m going all out on this one since we shot so many images from the day and lots of good stuff I wanted to show – I’m trying to figure out what was more work, the 10 hour wedding or this blog entry, lol.   Jen & Paul, along with their entire family and bridal party were so great to work with (I wish it was always that simple) and I’d like to thank everyone for their cooperation and trusting me and allowing us to do our thing and go with the flow.  There were also several people involved in this wedding that it’s very important that I give thanks and credit to.  Here are the list of top wedding professionals that made a HUGE impact:

April Rounds – Owner of  Details Wedding Planning
Alayne Curtiss – Owner of Make Me Fabulous (and boy did she make Jen look fabulous!)
Classe Catering – Amazing job as usual – the Canfield Casino has never looked so good – wow!
The New York Players – 2 back to back weddings with these guys, and they absolutely rocked it both nights!
and of course my team (Jessica Bruce & John Williams (Jamaica) for an outstanding job

Thanks to everyone!!  Jen and Paul are surely sipping Margaritas right now someplace with their feet up and swimming in the ocean, but I wanted to share a piece of their big day with everyone.  I’m sure they will be checking this out from their honeymoon suite, so be sure to leave them lots of love and comments below for them to check out when they have time!  Also, for those interested, you can pre-register your email at the link below to receive automatic notification of when images go live in about 30-40 days:

Congrats again to Jen & Paul and all the best in your new marriage…. thank you for trusting our team to document such a special day!! :)
