With all the new hype of the iPad2 coming, I decided I’d list my current one on Ebay to offset for the upgraded model I intend to purchase. Since I had to snap a few photos for my ebay listing, I figured I would play around in the studio a bit to see if I could come up with some cool looking shots…. here’s a few I thought came out kind of cool and wanted to share. Apple – you hiring?

Sticky Fingers Apples Revamp – Amazing Candy Apples

I first had an opportunity to meet and work with John & Donna of Sticky Fingers Apples back in 2007, when I was asked to help them photograph some candy apples for a new business they were starting….. 3½ years later, they have become one of the hottest and most popular candy apple companies not just locally, but on a national level! It’s amazing to not only be a very small part of, but watch the success story unfold for such good friends. John & Donna are both two of the kindest people you will meet and their business has grown both, based on their amazing products and customer service. They now have over 70 amazing products and dozens and dozens of different candy apples – each a work of art of their own. They are also now getting more and more into the wedding business, so those of you that are looking for something cool for your wedding (or even just love candy apples, etc) should try them out – I bet my life savings you will not be disappointed! I was honored to have a chance to work with John & Donna again this week to reshoot all of their products for a new, revamped look for their website – here are just a few of the mouth watering apples they offer! Crystal Clear Finances / Albany NY Financial Planning

This week I did a shoot with my new friends at Crystal Clear Finances in Albany to work on some images for their website – these guys were so much fun to hang out with, I almost went back the next day without a camera just to hang out again :) On a serious note, this is an awesome place to check out for those of you looking for help with financial planning, investments, Portfolio Analysis, Insurance and if nothing else, for a good sense of humor. If you’re lucky enough, maybe Crystal will let you check out her new iPad?

New Website Up and Running!

After about 6 months of work, I’m really proud to announce the launch of our new website, which officially went live this week. With the help of some great web designers, we’ve put a lot of effort into creating a fresh new site with lots of great new features that I’m really excited about. Some of the upgrades the new site has vs. the old site are:

-a fancy flash intro (which you can choose to skip if you like)
-easier navigation through menus and pages to browse and find the information you want
-larger image galleries and the slideshow options to browse through images easier with
-an interactive calendar with automatic links to sunset times, online viewing & ordering sites, blog entries & even status updates for your event-added product & album pages with information & photos to help educate of various styles and options
-a new gift and registry page that allows couples to easily add us to their bridal registry for various options
-easy access to make payments online, find online viewing & ordering events, facebook, etc

I hope you’ll enjoy the new site… I want to give some props to Stephen of www.equali.com for doing an amazing job as well as www.overit.com for their fancy intro presentation. Ok, enough telling you how cool it is, click here to check it out for yourself! :)

The Scott Varley Group – Saratoga Springs & Albany Realtor Headshots

Last week I had the opportunity to hang out with Scott Varley Group, which is a big name Realty Firm located in Saratoga Springs. Scott and the crew were a lot of fun to hang out with and were getting some updated shots for their website and marketing materials. I really think businesses having updated images that sell their staff and personalities are ahead of the game – this is something we are getting more and more into that I really enjoy. Here is another one we recently did for Glenville Dental and we have a couple more similar shoots lined up over the next month or so. Sticky Fingers Apples – Amazing Candy Apples and Wedding Goodies!

What started as a simple school project for their kids 3 years ago for my good friends, John & Donna, has now turned into a national craving almost overnight it seems. Sticky Fingers Apples, which is a local company using local apples from orchards in the Capital Region has become one of the biggest names in the candy apple industry and it’s very exciting to see their business take off with such success. Not only are they great people, but have an amazing assortment of candy apples & other goodies and ship daily around the country as the orders continue to pour in left and right. Donna has some new apples including a cool Valentine’s apple so I had some fun shooting some of the new inventory today for their website. I should also mention that they are now doing wedding apples for those wanting something a little different or to spice up their wedding with extra treats. Congratulations Jen & Paul!! – Canfield Casino Wedding (Several Photos!)

Without a doubt, Jen & Paul’s wedding was one of the biggest weddings our team has ever taken on, and a wedding that I’m extremely proud to share. 10 hours of non-stop shooting, 3 photographers, and a total of close to 7,000 images shot…. exhausting, but an absolutely amazing day for everyone involved, especially Paul and Jen! :)

I could seriously post the entire wedding on the blog, so you’ll have to forgive me, but I’m going all out on this one since we shot so many images from the day and lots of good stuff I wanted to show – I’m trying to figure out what was more work, the 10 hour wedding or this blog entry, lol. Jen & Paul, along with their entire family and bridal party were so great to work with (I wish it was always that simple) and I’d like to thank everyone for their cooperation and trusting me and allowing us to do our thing and go with the flow. There were also several people involved in this wedding that it’s very important that I give thanks and credit to. Here are the list of top wedding professionals that made a HUGE impact:

Glenville Dental – Albany Business & Lifestyle Headshots

I had another opportunity this week to take a break from the wedding scene to shoot some lifestyle and headshot images for Glenville Dental out of Scotia, who is working on a great new website coming soon! I think more and more businesses are starting to realize that having not only a professional website, but great images can go a long way when it comes to a consumer or patient making a decision where they want to do business. Dr. Sandmann and his entire staff were a lot of fun to hang out with (probably the most fun I’ve ever had in a dentist office since…….. forever?) I can’t wait to see the finalized website and I think many of the photos we got will make a dramatic improvement to the website. Here are a few quick samples I wanted to share…. I also want to give a huge thanks to one of my favorite stylists, Amy Elizabeth, who did an awesome job helping folks to look their best (and maybe impress their husbands when they got home?)

One of our hottest new albums we are now offering is the Kiss album, which packs quite a punch with it’s plush leather, seamless binding, thick pages and amazing overall quality! Congratulations Jennifer & Ian! Berkshires Mass Wedding

Despite it being probably one of the hottest days of the summer to shoot a wedding on, it couldn’t have been a more amazing day for Jenn & Ian to tie the knot. I’ve been traveling more this year than any year before to shoot weddings, and am really enjoying mixing it up with different scenery from the usual (nothing against Saratoga, but I get bored quickly) – this one was held in Pittsfield, Mass, so took a little road trip in the morning to spend the day.

I first had the opportunity to meet Ian & Jenn just a month and a half ago to shoot some engagement photos together and immediately clicked with them…. they are such a cool couple and about as easy going as it gets – even with a huge bridal party, they were so easy & fun to work with. Jenn is already a pretty girl, but she made such a beautiful bride and certainly made my job easy that’s for sure! (by the way, I want all you future brides out there to take note of how she smiles with her eyes – there is not one photo of her that you cannot clearly see what a genuine, compassionate & loving person she is inside and out).

I want to take a second to thank the family and bridal party yesterday for being so accommodating and allowing us to take part in such a special day.
