Sticky Fingers Apples – The Best Candy Apples You Can Get!

I’ll start by apologizing for being a bit behind on my normal upkeep with the blog! I took a couple weeks off to relax and enjoy the holidays and am now back in the full swing of 2009… I’ll do my best to keep up from now on :)

Today, I had the chance to shoot for good friends, John & Donna and their beautiful daughters Jordan & Karli.  John and Donna are local entrepreneurs and founders of their very successful business, Sticky Fingers Apples.  I have watched John and Donna start their business from the ground up, starting  just over a year or two ago, and now sell hundreds and hundreds of apples each month on a national level.  They have recently sold apples to major sports teams in the NFL, accept major wedding orders, and were featured in their own segment on Fox 23 News…. I’d say they are doing quite well!  Aside from making some of the most amazing candy apples and other goodies you have ever tasted, they are really such good people and awesome to do business with.  To be honest, I wish they would just find another photographer to shoot their products, since I always end up eating stuff I shouldn’t :)

John and Donna have added some new stuff to their menu, which is why we shot some updated photos for their website (and a new family portrait).  Those of you that are getting married and want to try something different, I would suggest contacting them about doing a dessert spread for you (I promise your guests will go nuts).  I asked John and Donna if they would give me my own promo code to offer our blog readers for a discount, and of course they were happy to do so!

You can check out their website at www.stickyfingersapples.com,   Here’s a few samples of what they offer and be sure to check em out for all their mouth watering options.  If you think these photos look good, you should taste the stuff – unbelievable!

P.S. For you photography fanatics, I shot these images with the new Canon 5D Mark II camera and am pretty impressed with the quality of the images this thing can throw out.

I’ve always been asked if we offer framing & matting from those ordering prints, and have always had to unfortunately, say no on this….. until now!  I will be making some updates to the onlinew viewing & ordering sites to allow this option for those interesed, but wanted to make sure we announced that we now offer this!

We now offer varius frames styles, colors and sizes – We can also do either a white or black mat to give your favorite photo a more professiona look.  All framed images come ready to hang and even have special, glare-free glass!  Until I can get this option built into the websites, please feel free to let me know if you need help ordering this….. many of the prints ordered require a custom frame from a framing store that cost hundreds of dollars and two weeks to get back…. this is a great way to get your item framed an matted faster and at a fraction of the price!  Here are a few samples to show you some of the frames we can do:

We just got home from the Chris & Laura wedding, which was held in Saratoga Springs today…… of course, I’m exhausted after a long day, however wanted to post a quick “teaser” image from the day.  We’ll be shooting another wedding tomorrow with Kristin & Matt, so be sure to check back Sunday for full blog entries and lots of samples of both weddings!  Photos are still loading from this wedding, but here’s a shot I thought I would share until I have time to post more….. I even did it up in HDR style for ya! On that note, I’m off to get my beauty sleep!

Time for Another HDR Wedding Image……

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted any HDR stuff, and I couldn’t sleep tonight, so decided to play around with a few more photos from the Jason & Jessica Wedding we did a few weeks ago.  This shot was basically shot as a candid as the bride walked down the stairs for the first time to greet her father, who anxiously awaited seeing his daughter for the first time on her wedding day.

Sometimes I’m shooting for the vision I see in my head, other times I’m just shooting away in a photojournalistic way.  This one was meant to be photojournalistic, but it’s funny how sometimes those are the ones that become art, rather than just a picture.  Here’s an HDR style shot I played around with tonight and really liked – you’ll have to help me in deciding which color version you like better?  I think I prefer the blueish tint since it’s different than what I would normally do, but I find myself going back and forth.
