New Website Up and Running!

After about 6 months of work, I’m really proud to announce the launch of our new website, which officially went live this week. With the help of some great web designers, we’ve put a lot of effort into creating a fresh new site with lots of great new features that I’m really excited about. Some of the upgrades the new site has vs. the old site are:

-a fancy flash intro (which you can choose to skip if you like)
-easier navigation through menus and pages to browse and find the information you want
-larger image galleries and the slideshow options to browse through images easier with
-an interactive calendar with automatic links to sunset times, online viewing & ordering sites, blog entries & even status updates for your event-added product & album pages with information & photos to help educate of various styles and options
-a new gift and registry page that allows couples to easily add us to their bridal registry for various options
-easy access to make payments online, find online viewing & ordering events, facebook, etc

I hope you’ll enjoy the new site… I want to give some props to Stephen of www.equali.com for doing an amazing job as well as www.overit.com for their fancy intro presentation. Ok, enough telling you how cool it is, click here to check it out for yourself! :)

Michelle Dischiavo - Matt, I worked on the Onyon weddings and would LOVE to use some of your photos on my website. I already have some from the Kristin and Michael Onyon wedding from the Canfield. Thanks so much!!!! Beautiful job absolutely gorgeous!!!!!

Maternity Photos / Capital Region / Albany, NY

I don’t shoot a tremendous amount of maternity or infant photos to be honest, but being a new father is somewhat having me rethink some of the types of work and projects I want to further pursue moving forward. I had the opportunity to hang out with good friends, Fortunata (Nata) and Angelo last night to shoot some quick maternity photos before the baby comes. Recently going through the experience of becoming a new father myself, I’m quickly realizing how important the documentation of maternity and newborn photos & videos can be first hand. Nata & Angelo are keeping it a secret as far as what they are having, but you can bet we’ll have some follow up images of their new addition very soon, so you’ll have to check back to see the results (my guess is it’s a girl :) Here are a few samples from our session together last night that I wanted to share….. Thanks for a fun shoot guys, always great to see you!

One of our hottest new albums we are now offering is the Kiss album, which packs quite a punch with it’s plush leather, seamless binding, thick pages and amazing overall quality! They come in various colors of leather based on preference, and I decided to order a new show album for our studio in brown, which I just had to blog about to show you how nice these truly are. The Kiss album is for those that love 3 things….. leather, quality & simplicity, and I have to say they are at the top of the food chain when it comes to the wedding album and form of showcasing your wedding images. They can be done in 10×10 or 12×12 (again in various color leather options), and probably one of the most impressive things is that they are done in about 2 weeks of submitting the order vs. the 4-6 weeks some of the other album manufacturers can have at times. Product Spotlight – Canvas/Gallery Wraps – A Must Have!

With most weddings, the couple likes to have one nice framed and matted print made up for their mantel or home from the wedding (in addition to the album). One of the hottest new products that people are going crazy over lately, are the new canvas/gallery wraps we now offer – they are a stunning piece of art and come ready to hang on the wall directly out of the box (assuming UPS didn’t damage it like this one here lol)

I ordered a nearly 50″ tall canvas of Raegan & Travis here (one of my absolute favorite images of the year) and am absolutely blown away at how amazing it is….. as you can see, this one had a bit of an accident which I probably shouldn’t be blogging about, but it is seriously absolutely incredible! They are shipping me a brand new one right away, but I had to show you how cool it is. FYI – these can be done in just about any size, so if you are interested, please let me know and we can order you one right away…… you can also order these directly from your online viewing & ordering sites!

Now excuse me, while I go throw this one in the dumpster, LOL

Cate & Zach Wedding Albums! www.ramosdesigns.com

We’ve been hard at work during the wedding off-season, and as a result, many of our album masterpieces :) are now coming in on a weekly basis! It’s always exciting to see the UPS guy with a new album set, and this is what he brought us today, which I’m sure Cate & Zach will be very excited about. Graphi-Studio is one of my favorite album carriers and in my opinion offer some of the highest quality albums you can get, amongst others. Cate & Zach went with a huge 9.5 x 13 book for themselves (souped up w/ metallic pages!), 2 8×12 parent albums and a set of 8 4×5 pocket books that Zach plans to carry around with him in his “man bag” (only kidding, Zach).

For those of you still dragging your feet on ordering that wedding album, now is a great time to place your order as our team is standing by ready to design. I also want to plug our website www.ramosdesigns.com, which is a separate division of Matt Ramos Photography, that specializes soley in custom album design (even for those that we did not shoot their wedding).
