Every now and then I enjoy being able to shoot just for fun and for myself, which I used to love to do when I had more free time. With all the hype over the “supermoon,” I thought it would be fun to shoot a few sky shots and wanted to do something a little different than just your standard and boring moon shots (just because it’s 30% larger, doesn’t always mean it’s 30% more interesting :) Anyway, here’s a couple shots from the backyard just for fun. The moon literally looked more like the sun as it came up over the clouds, rather than a moon… pretty cool stuff!

I’m afraid I only got the boring shot of it m8, as I was way to busy that night to do some real work with it.
I know that the super moon would of been fantasic for doing some real long night time exposures, I mean come on all that reflected light just coming off it on to such sujects as water falls, running rivers, etc… etc….
I bet that bloke from “Lost America” had a real fun night with all that extra light from the super moon ;)
Any way great to see that you got to do some work with the super moon too. Plus just like you mine was shot from the back yard too he he he ;)

With all the new hype of the iPad2 coming, I decided I’d list my current one on Ebay to offset for the upgraded model I intend to purchase. Since I had to snap a few photos for my ebay listing, I figured I would play around in the studio a bit to see if I could come up with some cool looking shots…. here’s a few I thought came out kind of cool and wanted to share. Apple – you hiring?

I wanted to do something fun and creative that I hadn’t tried before for Katie & Brian since I didn’t get a good chance to photograph their rings on the wedding day…. I thought it would be unique to try some underwater/splash photography to spice up a few details shots for the album. This type of stuff is not as easy as it looks, but I had fun creating these images and wanted to share a few…
