I had an awesome time yesterday with Andrea & Mike shooting their amazing Hall of Springs Winter wedding – I’ll be posting the full blog entry in a few days (so be sure to check back), but in the meantime, here’s a quick teaser!

The Top 50 Images of 2010 – Vote for your favorite!

Let me start out by quickly getting your attention – The winning couple of this contest will receive a 20 x 30 luxury canvas (either of the winning photo or any other of their choice from the event or shoot) valued at $300! Here are the contest rules – very simple:

1 – you may vote for yourself if you like (it’s not like you’re not going to anyway, right?)
2 – you may vote for 1 image only – if you attempt to vote a second time you may trigger a volcano causing the earth to explode.
3 – friends and family may also help you to win, so feel free to share this link for some extra help! (I recommend facebooking it)
4 – you must receive 25 votes or more to win the contest. 24 votes even if you are in the lead = bragging rights only!
5 – the deadline is midnight Dec. 23rd with the winner being announced on Christmas Eve!

Also, very important: those that were not selected PLEASE do not take offense whatsoever – these were voted/selected to be entered into the contest by the entire office and it was simply not possible to include every single couple.

There are a lot of photos in this post and that depending on your connection speed, it may take a few seconds longer to load – please be patient and hope it will be worth the way for you :) I originally thought it would be fun to grab 10-15 of my favorite images from this year…. little did I know it would be so hard and end up posting 50 of our top images, vs the 10 I started with. It was a great pleasure to work with so many fantastic couples this year and I’m really proud of the images we were able to create this year – I hope you will enjoy the photos below and have fun voting!!!

Beth & Steven / Upstate New York Wedding (Saratoga National)

It seems like such a blur to have shot as many weddings as we did this year and I’m thrilled that not only we had a great year of weddings, but also that I now get a chance to get a bit of a break to keep us motivated for the upcoming 2011 wedding season! The last wedding of the season is always bittersweet for me… I love getting a bit of a break, but also miss the fun & craziness of it all while I’m not out shooting every weekend. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to sum up the season with than Beth & Steve, and they were such an awesome couple to work with and I think we spent more time laughing and fooling around than anything (which apparently worked :) I sorta went all out on this blog entry with the photos since you won’t be hearing from me as much for a bit, so I hope you don’t mind looking at photos!

I want to give a huge thanks and props to those that also worked very hard on this wedding:

As you can see from the blog, I haven’t had much to report or share as of late, however soon enough I’ll have more blog entries than you can handle with the 2010 main wedding season quickly approaching! I wanted to remind all those couples out there that have not yet contacted us about their wedding album, that now is a great time too get going on things and we are glad to help. I learned today that were voted one of the best photographers for Upstate, NY by the Knot….. I have no idea how the voting works for this as I had no idea we were even being considered, but none the less, are very excited and honored to have made the list :)

The Top 30 Wedding Images of 2009! New York Wedding Photography

Before I start, I want to apologize for being gone from the blog for so long…. becoming a new father of twins has been an amazing experience, but it hasn’t been as easy to make the investments in the blog, etc that I’ve wanted to since my hands are a bit tied. I’ll do my best to keep!

Now I can see where and how a post like this can get me into a bit of trouble or possibly offend someone, so if one of your wedding images was not selected for this post, please don’t be upset with me – I originally wanted to post the top 10 photos (we took an office vote on these between 4 of us by the way so you know how they were selected), but it soon became the top 20, to the top 25, and ended up being the top 30. There were so many incredible images from 2009, I seriously could have posted over a 100 of the top stuff, but needed to draw the line somewhere. So…. without further due, these are some of the top photos of 2009 that I wanted to share and a few that are definitely in the top 5 or 10 of any wedding we have ever shot. I opted not to do any voting on these this year, but just wanted to share them – congrats to those that had their images selected!

Congratulations Jen & Paul!! – Canfield Casino Wedding (Several Photos!)

Without a doubt, Jen & Paul’s wedding was one of the biggest weddings our team has ever taken on, and a wedding that I’m extremely proud to share. 10 hours of non-stop shooting, 3 photographers, and a total of close to 7,000 images shot…. exhausting, but an absolutely amazing day for everyone involved, especially Paul and Jen! :)

I could seriously post the entire wedding on the blog, so you’ll have to forgive me, but I’m going all out on this one since we shot so many images from the day and lots of good stuff I wanted to show – I’m trying to figure out what was more work, the 10 hour wedding or this blog entry, lol. Jen & Paul, along with their entire family and bridal party were so great to work with (I wish it was always that simple) and I’d like to thank everyone for their cooperation and trusting me and allowing us to do our thing and go with the flow. There were also several people involved in this wedding that it’s very important that I give thanks and credit to. Here are the list of top wedding professionals that made a HUGE impact:

April Rounds – Owner of Details Wedding Planning
Alayne Curtiss – Owner of Make Me Fabulous (and boy did she make Jen look fabulous!)
Classe Catering – Amazing job as usual – the Canfield Casino has never looked so good – wow!
The New York Players – 2 back to back weddings with these guys, and they absolutely rocked it both nights!
and of course my team (Jessica Bruce & John Williams (Jamaica) for an outstanding job

Thanks to everyone!! Jen and Paul are surely sipping Margaritas right now someplace with their feet up and swimming in the ocean, but I wanted to share a piece of their big day with everyone. I’m sure they will be checking this out from their honeymoon suite, so be sure to leave them lots of love and comments below for them to check out when they have time!
